Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Transload Supervisor to oversee the efficient transfer of freight between different modes of transportation at our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence in all transloading activities. This leadership role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Prior military experience and air brake certification are considered valuable assets for this position. The Transload Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining smooth operations, adhering to safety standards, and optimizing productivity. Duties Schedule times of shipment and modes of transportation for cargo. Verifies by self or through others that all product has been loaded completely by Purchase Order number for all loaded shipments. Verifies by self or through others product Distribution Center destinations for all loaded shipments are correct. Verifies by self or through others the correct trailing equipment is used for each customer Distribution Centerdestination. Monitors trailer cube utilization throughout the shift and reviews daily totals as compared to standards. Observes personnel performing duties and prepares terminal operations reports on revenue derived, costs of operation, accident reports, and incidents relating to personnel or merchandise claims for losses or damages. Participates in claim prevention program. Must be able to communicate with customers and coworkers via email. Inspects terminal facilitates for conformance to prescribed standards and cleanliness and for the need of maintenance and repair. Monitors workload on a daily basis and makes staffing changes as needed to achieve organization goals. Initiates requisitions for corrective action as needed. Participates in corrective interviews with personnel. Enforces worker compliance with established safety rules and regulations and measures to protect the safety of employees and customers and security of merchandise, properly and equipment. Monitors direct labor ratio for all operations performed on shift. Prepares daily and summary reports to insure productivity standards are met or exceeded. Monitors terminal equipment maintenance and usage to insure the proper maintenance and care are being provided in order to keep equipment in good order and safe operating condition. Monitors terminal security to insure security procedures are followed in accordance to company policies. Communicates directly to Account Manager issues relating to security to protect and secure customers cargo while under company control. Requirements Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse management Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and compliance documentation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Work Location: In person
