Assistant Manager-Self Storage

Job DescriptionSelf Storage company is looking for an Assistant Manager to work part-time on Mondays (9am-5pm) in our Ponte Vedra Beach, FL location. Additional hours may be available at times and the option of working Sundays 10am-4pm, weekly is available but not required. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated, have a customer-oriented personality with strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Interested candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office and navigating the Internet. This is an independent work environment.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Helping customers understand their storage needs, renting units to new customers, processing payments, answering questions and solving problemsOpen and close the office on scheduled day(s)Consult, sell, and upsell to promote merchandise salesAssist Manager by ensuring accounts are current and perform collections responsibilities as necessaryAssist Manager by ensuring the appearance of the property is customer ready by conducting daily walk-throughs and maintaining the propertyAssist Manager with cleaning vacated units and monitoring the physical condition of the facilityCommunicate with and respond to corporate office as neededQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredValid driver's licensePre-employment background checkMust be able to sit, stand, bend, and stoop for 8 hour shiftMust be able to lift 25 lbsExperience:Minimum of 1-2 years of direct exposure to business operations, preferably in a customer service-oriented or sales organizationExperience with light bookkeeping helpful
