Elementary School Teacher
Overview
BASIS Independent Fremont Lower, part of the BASIS Independent Schools network, is recruiting an Elementary School Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The position is located at 3300 Kearney Street, Central District, Fremont, CA 94538 and is a full‑time role with an annual salary range of $59,000–$65,000.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Teach one elementary classroom all day, every day, collaborating with a Subject Expert Teacher to deliver lessons and engage students.
Use diverse pedagogical methods to provide individual or small group instruction tailored to students’ needs.
Maintain and enforce classroom standards that promote a safe and effective learning environment.
Other Duties
Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, record progress, and prepare reports.
Communicate with parents via email and conferences about student progress and the BASIS Independent Schools culture.
Identify student needs and cooperate with Subject Experts or other staff to address health, attitude, or learning challenges.
Supervise students during classroom transitions.

Additional Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, demonstrated success in student achievement, child development, and classroom management, and the ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.
Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience and a strong communication skill set with openness to new teaching methods.
