HVAC Sheet Metal ForemanJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and supervise sheet metal installation crews on commercial HVAC projects. This role is responsible for coordinating manpower, materials, safety, and quality while ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. The foreman serves as the primary field leader for sheet metal operations and works closely with project management and other trades.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & SupervisionSupervise, train, and direct sheet metal installers and apprenticesAssign daily tasks and ensure crew productivity and efficiencyLead by example with workmanship, safety, and professionalismConduct toolbox talks and enforce company safety policiesInstallation & Quality ControlOversee installation of HVAC ductwork, fittings, and accessoriesEnsure work meets project specifications, SMACNA standards, and company quality expectationsReview drawings, layouts, and field conditions prior to installationIdentify and resolve installation conflicts or constructability issuesProject CoordinationCoordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other tradesPlan manpower needs and work sequencing to meet schedulesVerify materials, tools, and equipment are on-site and readyTrack job progress and communicate delays or issues proactivelySafety & ComplianceEnforce OSHA and site-specific safety requirementsEnsure proper use of PPE, lifts, ladders, and fall protectionReport incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditionsAdministrative & ReportingMaintain daily reports, timecards, and production trackingAssist with job documentation, punch lists, and inspectionsSupport job closeout activities as neededQualifications & Experience5+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience2+ years in a lead or foreman role preferredStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specificationsProven experience leading crews and coordinating field operationsThorough knowledge of SMACNA standards and HVAC installation practicesStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license and reliable transportationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on liftsAbility to work in varying weather and job site conditionsPreferred (Not Required)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationCompletion of a sheet metal apprenticeship programExperience with BIM coordination or field layoutCompensation & Benefits (customize as needed)Competitive pay ranges from $28 - $42+ an hour depending on experiencePaid HolidaysPaid Vacation TimePaid Sick Time401K401K Profit ShareHealth InsuranceOptional Supplemental InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts
