We’re hiring a highly-motivated *Certified Marine Technician* to diagnose, repair, and maintain boats and marine systems so our customers can stay safe, confident, and ready for the water.Pay is subject to experience.*What You’ll Do** Diagnose issues across *marine engines, electrical systems, rigging, and mechanical components* using schematics, service manuals, and precision measuring tools.* Perform repairs and maintenance including *engine service/overhauls, electrical wiring, rigging, welding, soldering, fabrication, and assembly* of marine components.* Use shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently (hand/power tools, calipers, multimeters/ohmmeters, lifting equipment, welding tools, etc.).* Interpret technical diagrams to troubleshoot *power distribution, electrical faults, and mechanical assemblies*.* Complete routine maintenance and seasonal service work (inspections, performance checks, preventative maintenance, and modifications/upgrades).* Support customers by explaining findings, recommending repairs/maintenance, and suggesting upgrades when appropriate.* Document work thoroughly and accurately in service records and follow shop quality and safety standards.*What We’re Looking For** Proven experience as a *marine technician* (marine industry experience strongly preferred).* Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience in *repair, assembly, and fabrication* (welding/soldering/sheet metal experience is a plus).* Electrical troubleshooting ability, including *reading schematics* and using multimeters/ohmmeters.* Comfort with rigging and precision work using tools like calipers and measuring instruments.* Safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and pride in clean, reliable work.* Ability to lift and maneuver equipment safely and work on your feet in a shop environment.* Professional, helpful communication with customers and teammates.*Bonus Points** Experience with modern marine systems and accessories (gauges, power management, electronics, etc.).* Mercury or other OEM training/certifications.*Why Lake Days Marine*We’re a family-owned, community-driven dealership built by locals who genuinely love lake life.
