Robotic Welding TechnicianMultimatic Michigan is looking for a Robotic Welding Technician (3rd shift) who will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for increasing company profitability and improving employee working conditions by providing manufacturing departments with well-maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and ability to meet production requirements.Responsibilities:Set-up and teach robots as requiredTroubleshoot and adjust robots, weld controllers, etc. using PLC's and HMIAssist with changeover of equipment, components, and toolingProvide support to production in order to ensure a smooth production run: i.e Setup, toolchange, problem solvingAdjust MIG, Spot, and Arc Brazing welding schedules on Medar, Lincoln, Fronius and Panasonic weld controllersMaintain equipment to ensure machines produce quality partsResponsible for daily preventative maintenanceAssisting in the implementation of continuous improvement activitiesWork in a safe manner at all timesWorks in compliance with TS16949 standards. Maintains due diligence in regard to environmental matters, minimize any potentially harmful accidents and work in compliance with ISO 14001.Will follow the environmental guidelines for aspects as outlined in the job training requirements. Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of MIOSHA and will be accountable for specific Health & Safety responsibilitiesQualifications:Post secondary diploma from a technical college in Robotic Welding, Electro-Mechanical, or Automation.Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issuesMinimum 3+ years of experienceMust have very strong PLC skillsExperience working with Motoman & Fanuc robots, and Allen Bradley PLC'sMust be able to work independently and prioritize tasksStrong problem solving techniquesAbility to read blue printsAbility to interact with all levels of employees in the organizationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAs part of our commitment to ensuring our employment practices are fair, accessible, and inclusive of persons with disabilities, recruitment-related accommodations for disabilities are available upon request throughout the recruitment and assessment process for applicants with disabilities.
