Material Handler

Scherer Inc. is a fast-growing company in need of a motivated individual to assist in its expansion. Scherer Inc. produces replacement kernel processor rolls, offers a complete line of mill rolls for both stationary and portable roller mills and provides a full-service manual machining service for both repair and small production runs. *Work shift: *Monday - Friday business hours *GENERAL DESCRIPTION* Replenish Point of Use Inventory in defined locations at proper times to avoid line stoppage/delays. Perform cycle count function as required. Understand work orders and material flow to and through assembly areas. Attention to detail required. *EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* High school diploma/GED. Shipping, receiving or material handling experience preferred. Computer skills required. *RESPONSIBILITIES* *DESCRIPTION* *Locating materials & supplies: *Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on orders. *Equipment: *Operate all forklifts and material handling equipment. *Monitor manufacturing supplies: *Check on levels on an hourly basis, replenish supplies when required. *Inventory Management: *Monitor appropriate levels of materials/supplies and order as necessary.
