Talent Acquisition Partner – Early Career
TEGNA is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to support early career recruiting efforts across our organization. This role focuses on attracting, hiring, and developing emerging talent through internships, the Producer in Residence (PIR) program, and entry level opportunities while building strong partnerships with universities and helping shape the next generation of media professionals.
This role partners closely within TEGNA’s Early Career team to help lead our internship and Producer in Residence programs while creating meaningful experiences and long‑term connections for emerging talent.
This role can be based in any TEGNA market and operates on a hybrid schedule. Moderate travel is required and includes campus visits, conferences, university partnerships, training events, and industry networking opportunities.
Responsibilities
Lead full‑cycle recruiting for internships, the Producer in Residence program, and entry‑level opportunities across multiple markets
Help lead and support TEGNA’s internship and Producer in Residence programs from recruitment through onboarding and ongoing support
Coordinate program logistics, communications, timelines, training initiatives, and participant experiences
Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, professors, career centers, student organizations, and industry partners
Represent TEGNA at campus events, conferences, classroom visits, networking opportunities, and career fairs
Build and maintain pipelines of emerging talent for current and future hiring needs
Serve as a mentor and trusted advisor for interns, PIR participants, and early‑career employees throughout their experience at TEGNA
Build lasting relationships and stay connected with talent as they grow and progress within the organization
Work closely with hiring leaders to understand hiring needs and support recruiting strategies
Train and guide leaders on recruiting tools, processes, and best practices
Deliver a strong candidate experience from outreach through onboarding
Maintain accurate reporting, candidate tracking, and program data while ensuring a high level of organization and attention to detail
Requirements
3–5 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, university relations, or early‑career experience preferred
Experience supporting internship, campus recruiting, or early‑career programs strongly preferred
Strong ability to build meaningful relationships and establish trust with students, universities, hiring leaders, and colleagues
Passion for mentoring and developing emerging talent
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Experience with Greenhouse or similar ATS preferred
Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing tools preferred
Pay Range
$85,000 - $100,000 USD
