We are a small-scale facility dedicated to helping our residents live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. We are seeking reliable, caring individuals to join our team as Caretakers/Home Aides.
Position Overview
As an Assisted Living Caretaker at Everhaven Care, you will assist our adult residents with daily living activities, provide companionship, support mobility and safety, and help maintain a clean, comfortable environment. This is a hands-on role suited to those who enjoy working with adults and making a positive impact in their day-to-day lives.

Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support;
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensure residents are eating and hydrated;
Pass medication using approved medical equipment and follow proper medication administration procedures;
Provide light housekeeping: tidy rooms, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning common areas;
Provide companionship: conversation, encouragement, engagement in recreational or social activities;
Monitor residents’ condition and report any changes (health, behavior, mood) to supervisor;
Ensure safety: assist with transfers, repositioning, preventing falls, and help maintain safe environment;
Accompany residents to appointments or activities as required (transport or on-site) and assist with errands;
Follow facility policies, maintain confidentiality, document care provided; and
Assist with additional resident needs or facility tasks as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in assisted living, caregiving, home-health support, or similar is a plus.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and compassionate, respectful attitude toward adults in care.
Ability to lift, assist with mobility, stand and walk for periods of time, and perform physical tasks safely.
Must pass background check, Tuberculosis Test, and have reliable transportation (if needed).
Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule (including some evenings/weekends as needed).
Training provided by Supervising Licensed Nurse.
