This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What You Will Get To DoThe Sentinel Infrastructure Analysis Team oversees the design/analysis of the facilities and related subsystems that support the future upgrade to the Minuteman III missile as well as the unique flight test facilities. Our teams are hiring Analysis Engineers within areas of focus: Structural Engineering/Analysis, Thermal Analysis, Bolted Joint analysis, Welded Joint Analysis, etc.Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.You Will Bring These QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field;Principal Engineer Structural: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhDSr. Principal Engineer Structural: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Year with PhDMust be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 6 yearsU.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)Knowledge and/or experience with structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missilesProfessional knowledge of missile and/or spacecraft structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methodsDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environmentProficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulationExperience running modal transient analysis in Nastran (or equivalent)Experience with launch vehicle, spacecraft, and rocket engine vibroacoustics analysisExperience with time domain, frequency domain, and/or random vibration analysisThese Qualifications Are Nice To HaveProficiency with ABAQUS, FEMAP, and ANSYSExposure to structural test applicationsExperience with seismic analysis (ASCE 7)Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsionNavigate through NX 3D models and CPLMTeamCenter CPLM experiencePrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
