In this role, you will perform a variety of assembly operations ranging from repetitive to complex tasks on mechanical and electronic assemblies and subassemblies.You will work from technical diagrams, drawings, and layouts to assemble modules, boards, panels, frames, and cable systems while ensuring quality and precision throughout the manufacturing process.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and machines using hand and power toolsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOM)Align, fit, and adjust parts to meet required tolerances and functionalityInstall components such as bearings, gears, motors, shafts, conveyors, pneumatic components, and hydraulic systemsPerform fabrication tasks including drilling, tapping, grinding, and finishingConduct continuity checks and quality inspections during and after assemblyDisassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble prototype or experimental assemblies as requiredTroubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and recommend solutionsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following 5S standardsFollow OSHA and company safety proceduresCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3-4 years of mechanical assembly experience (machinery or industrial equipment preferred)Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructionsProficiency using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches)Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulicsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with manufacturing or fabrication techniques including assembly, machining, welding, or solderingExperience performing quality control inspections Preferred QualificationsTechnical or vocational training in mechanical technology or related fieldExperience working with custom machinery, automation systems, or manufacturing equipmentForklift or overhead crane certificationKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principlesUnderstanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Willingness to work up to 10 hours of overtime per weekPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, bend, and reach for extended periodsStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels About PROLIM Corporation PROLIM is a leading provider of end-to-end IT, PLM and Engineering Services and Solutions for Global 1000 companies.
