2nd Shift MACHINE OPERATOR

2nd Shift Machine OperatorKENT Worldwide is proud to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Consumer Brands division as a Machine Operator. The Machine Operator runs and maintains production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality packaging. This role oversees line performance, supports team members, follows GMPs and procedures, performs changeovers and basic maintenance, monitors product quality, and maintains accurate records while keeping the work area clean and organized.The compensation range for this role is $18 to $20 an hour, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Train associates and production workers to perform their required duties. This includes running the equipment and following KCBA Core ProceduresMaintain GMP`sPackage the quantity of cases and/or bags as required by the scheduleSee that all personnel assigned keep the lines running smooth and when necessary run through breaks and/or lunchMaintain all documents such as pre-op checklist, pack sheets, metal detectors, lot numbers, etcReview daily production requirements with the Production Lead and/or SupervisorPackage products in a clean environment, at the specified weights, and with the correct and legible lot number as per Core ProceduresRefer to set-up sheets for production requirementsMake sure that all packaging materials used film, boxes, pallets etc are in acceptable condition and quality. Report any problems or discrepancies immediately to the Production Lead or SupervisorReview with the Production Lead the daily needs for boxes, film, pallets, etc. Coordinate documentation of finished goods sent to the warehouseMake sure all equipment are in good working orderReplace any parts as needed and review with the Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor for any parts or maintenance supplies neededSafely operates all equipment associated with operating at least three production lines (vertical form and fill machines, pouching machines, tapers, conveyors, case sealers, check weighers, etc.)Makes package and product change-overs on all appropriate equipmentPreventative maintenance and minor repairs on his assigned line equipment at the direction of the SupervisorAssures the quality of the finished product by utilizing the QA staff and personal observations of the production and packaging processesPlaces product to be reworked into drums or other containersReads and checks that product is properly labeledManufacturing experience preferredEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
