DescriptionStrategic HR LeadershipPartner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with company objectives and long-term growth strategiesProvide guidance and coaching to managers on organizational development, employee engagement, performance management, and workforce planningHelp drive and strengthen ClearFreight’s culture across all offices and departmentsLead the implementation and ongoing management of employee performance review processesEmployee Relations & CultureFoster a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented work environmentManage employee relations matters, conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement processesSupport managers and employees through complex workplace situations with professionalism and discretionPromote employee engagement initiatives that support retention and company cultureTalent Acquisition & DevelopmentOversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes across multiple departments and locationsPartner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and improve recruitment strategiesHelp develop training, mentorship, and professional development initiativesEnsure a strong and consistent onboarding experience for new hiresCompensation & BenefitsOversee employee benefits administration, including health plans, leave programs, and 401(k) participationOversee compensation planning and market benchmarking to maintain competitive pay structuresEnsure accuracy and integrity of HR and payroll-related processes and dataCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsMaintain and update employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and HR documentationOversee workers’ compensation, leave administration, and other risk-management related functionsMaintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee informationHR Operations & TechnologyManage and optimize HRIS and payroll systems to improve efficiency and reporting capabilitiesDevelop HR metrics and reporting to support business decisions and workforce planningContinuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experienceRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred7+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experienceStrong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practicesExperience supporting multi-location organizations preferredExcellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with HRIS, payroll, and talent management systemsLogistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry experience is a plus
