Construction Project Manager
Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading construction, remodeling, and insurance restoration projects from start to finish. This includes writing estimates, managing teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring timely, high-quality project completion. Experience with HUD Home, Habitat for Humanity, insurance restoration, and remodeling projects is highly valued.
This is an at-will position reporting to the Branch and Office Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage residential and light commercial restoration and remodeling projects
Write and submit accurate estimates and scopes of work
Conduct site inspections and finalize project details with clients and adjusters
Assign and supervise Superintendents and project teams
Hire and coordinate subcontractors
Ensure safety procedures and training are followed
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and profitability
Maintain strong client, vendor, and team communication
Support company growth through marketing and client outreach
Assist with collections and account resolution as needed
Represent company values and uphold professional standards onsite and in the office
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management for construction, remodeling, or insurance restoration
Experience with HUD Home and Habitat for Humanity projects preferred
Strong estimating and scope development skills (Xactimate or similar software)
Familiarity with building codes and OSHA safety regulations
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Licenses:
Valid state driver’s license
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs)
Comfortable working in environments affected by fire, smoke, water, mold, or other damage
Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces
Work may involve both office and on-site field environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions and construction hazards
