Engineer Intern (E.I.)

Job DescriptionUnder the guidance of a Professional Engineer, the Engineer Intern (E.I.) will provide technical, project, and field support for a variety of engineering projects. Depending on project needs, opportunities may include work within areas such as civil/site development, transportation, construction administration/CE&I, coastal engineering, water resources, utilities, or other engineering services. The Engineer Intern will provide daily support to our team of Professional Engineers, performing both technical and administrative tasks, and contributing to overall project management. This role involves routine engineering work with a focus on developing professional skills and providing detailed, proactive project support. The E.I. will be a champion and leader of our company’s core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.Some Responsibilities IncludePerforming engineering calculations and technical analyses to support project design and delivery.Assisting with the preparation of plans, technical drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and construction documents.Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing engineering and field data.Conducting field visits to document existing conditions, observe construction activities, or support project teams.Coordinating with Professional Engineers, clients, and external agencies to support project delivery. Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited engineering curriculum with major concentration in Civil, Environmental, Coastal, or a related engineering discipline is required.Basic understanding of engineering principles, design, construction and/or field practices.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Current Engineer Intern certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.Authorized to work in the United States.
