Overview As a Java Developer, you will build and enhance Java-based applications while embracing a JavaScript frontend stack. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global delivery setting to translate requirements into performant, secure software. You’ll handle both functional features and non-functional aspects like performance and scalability, contributing to insurance-domain projects. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Java applications with a focus on performance and reliabilityBuild and enhance JavaScript front-end components using BackboneJS, MarionetteJS, and HandlebarsJSCollaborate in a diverse, multi-stakeholder team within a global delivery modelEngage in requirements elicitation and analysis to define system and non-functional requirementsContribute to Agile practices and story-driven developmentSupport and improve insurance-domain software solutionsCommunicate findings and progress effectively to stakeholders Key requirements5+ years of experience in Java technologies4+ years’ experience with JavaScript frameworks (BackboneJS, MarionetteJS, HandlebarsJS) and knowledge of Angular/Ember/React as alternatives3+ years’ experience with HTML5/CSS3 and responsive design2+ years’ experience with NodeJS-based build tools (Grunt/Gulp, SASS, Yeoman, NPM/JSPM)Experience in requirements elicitation and analysis techniques (storyboarding, use cases, Agile user stories)Strong analytical and communication skillsExperience in the Insurance domainBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent (with option for 3 years progressive experience in lieu of education)US work authorization (citizenship or eligible status)Strong communicationAnalytical thinkingTeam collaborationJavaBackboneJSMarionetteJS
