Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and cost-effective operations. This role collaborates closely with production, quality, supply chain, and design teams to improve manufacturability, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layoutsDevelop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, quality issues, and opportunities for improvementLead or support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with product design teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effectiveTroubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actionsSupport equipment selection, installation, validation, and maintenance activitiesEnsure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsTrain production staff on new processes, tools, and improvementsSupport new product introductions (NPI) and process scale-up activitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (experience level may vary by role)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipmentProficiency in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and collaboration skills·Preferred QualificationsExperience with CAD software and manufacturing-related systems (e.g., ERP, MES)Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certificationExperience in regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical, or food manufacturing)Project management experience·Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to work in a manufacturing/production environmentOccasional lifting, standing, or walking on the production floorMay require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)·Work EnvironmentManufacturing or production floor environmentExposure to noise, machinery, and production equipmentUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredScheduleFull-timeOvertime may be required based on production needs
