Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in fast-paced, full service restaurants. As a Bartender, you will craft cocktails/mocktails, serve guests efficiently, and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages our guests to return. Proficiency with Toast POS system is preferred, along with strong time management and sales skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality environment where your expertise in food and beverage service will shine.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using Toast POS
Engage with our guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
Manage cash handling, cashiering, and billing processes accurately
Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
Uphold responsible alcohol service policies (CA RBS ABC certification) and verify customer age using proper identification methods
Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service coordination during events like banquets when necessary
Assist in setting up and breaking down bar areas for events or shifts
Demonstrate knowledge of food safety, food handling, and proper sanitation procedures
Qualifications
Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or banquet environments preferred;
Familiarity with Toast POS systems
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills or change accurately
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with CA legal requirements
Ability to work flexible hours including nights
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
