Behavioral Health Resource Network (BHRN) Peer Housing Navigator

Job Announcement Eastern Oregon Center for Independent Living (EOCIL) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Peer Housing Navigator to join our BHRN program. This role centers on supporting individuals impacted by substance use and/or mental health in accessing and maintaining stable housing. The Peer Housing Navigator will use their lived experience to build trust, offer guidance, and provide trauma-informed housing case management and peer support services. Qualifications/Skills Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field (or two years of relevant experience).One year of experience working with marginalized, underserved populations. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Knowledge of culturally relevant interventions for Spanish-speaking high-risk populations. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams. Experience working with marginalized populations, including individuals facing homelessness or mental health challenges. Valid Driver’s License or access to self-arranged transportation for outreach, meetings, and events. Key Responsibilities Provide peer-based housing navigation services for individuals eligible under BHRN. Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans. Identify housing options and advocate with landlords. Assist clients with housing applications, landlord communication, and housing readiness. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in community engagement efforts.
