The Breakfast Attendant's responsibilities include following a daily schedule, performing proper set-up, maintenance, break-down and cleaning of the breakfast area; responsible for providing excellent guest service and satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive abundant looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each dayAssists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juicesSet up of serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other productsSet up and arrangement of cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins and cerealClears and cleans tables as they are vacatedRemoves trash from service areaRestocks self-service food and supplies as neededWash serving equipment and return to proper storageReturn reusable food supplies to storage after serviceVacuum, sweep carpets & floorsMop floorsDust, brush, polish, & vacuum furnitureDust and cleans room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.; using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisorInspect areas for safety hazardsCheck operating conditions of equipmentReport lost & found articles per hotel procedureReport maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenancePerforms any other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests.Must be able to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructionsMust be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies and convey information to staff and management.Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.Must be able to work without constant supervision.Must be able to work well as a part of a team.Must be engaging with all guest throughout breakfast period; responding to guest needs as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Standing and walking for entire length of shift.Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.Ability to understand and follow directionsSix months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred.Must have excellent customer service skills EEO Employer
