Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Gulfport)

Strategic Sourcing Analyst:Our Manufacturing Client in Mississippi is in a growth mode and is looking for strong Strategic Sourcing Analysts. Opportunities on the Direct and Indirect Sides, alike.Responsibilities:Lead projects and initiatives supporting efficiency, optimization and savings across multiple components and materials categories such as electrical, mechanical, gas-systems and aesthetical categories. Other projects could optimize metal fabrication sourcing or key Indirect Spend initiatives.Manage assigned supply base, driving continuous cost and quality improvements, including negotiation of favorable pricing, terms and conditions, bring a TCO mindset.Implement best practices to improve business performance, reduce waste, and build supply chain reliability.Leverage data analytics and fact-based decision making to map and drive cost reduction opportunities in close cross-functional partnership.Lead sourcing events (RFI's, RFQs, RFPs) enabling total landed cost reduction opportunities and new product development.Drive effective communication and collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal operational execution and timely product delivery.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, finance or a related field.2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, materials or supply chain roles.Experience in international trade is a plus.Strong communication skills and cross-functional leadership/influential acumenKnowledge of MS Excel, MRP/ERP systems and inventory management best practices.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
