Job Overview As a Project Architect, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and construction process of architectural projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards. Responsibilities: · Plans and develops projects of small to large scope and works under the supervision by a Principal, Senior Project Manager/Architect, Project Manager or Project Architect. · Supervises a staff of designers, project coordinators and BIM technicians. · Responsible for planning, executing, organizing, and coordinating work tasks to complete the scope of services. Assists in developing fee estimates, scope of services, proposals, and contracts. · Assists the Marketing Manager in developing proposals. · Maintains the fee budget and project schedule and responsible for the delegation of staff time to accomplish the work to maintain project profitability. · Responsible for the constructability of a design · Responsible for the design to meet the requirements of the building and zoning codes · Responsible for the proper execution of the design intent in the research and selection of materials, detailing and the application and execution of building systems. · Responsible for the coordination and QA/QC of the design among various subconsultant building system disciplines. · Proficient in Revit. · Proficient in 3-Dimensional presentation drawings. · Proficient in preparing and maintaining Xcel spreadsheets. · Manages Project Budgets · Oversees Project Architects, Project Coordinators and Production Staff · Responsible for staff scheduling · Responsible for invoicing projects and insuring that the project fee is maintained. · Works closely with staff accountant in BQE CORE Project Management software. · Manages project team assignments. · Estimates fees, determines scope of services, prepares proposals and contracts and sub contracts · Manages project fees to ensure profitability. Maintains Job Costing Reports. · Is active in organizations outside of the office that promote the advancement of the community and is an ambassador to the firm · Business Development skills and experience.
