Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a focus on supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This role involves creating age-appropriate lesson plans, implementing educational activities, and collaborating with parents and staff to promote child welfare and learning success.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
Create engaging lesson plans that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among preschool children.
Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and development.
Support children's social-emotional growth through behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
Conduct assessments to monitor individual progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Facilitate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards related to child welfare and safety.
Incorporate teaching physical education and standardized testing where appropriate to support holistic development.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and professional growth initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior private school experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management, literacy education, and special education practices including early intervention.
Familiarity with Montessori methods, classroom management techniques, lesson planning, and curriculum development.
Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes child welfare and safety.
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds; knowledge of standardized testing is advantageous.
Childcare certification or early childhood education credentials preferred; experience working with toddlers is a plus.
