PROGRAM MANAGER
Job DescriptionVulcan Wireless, Inc. is looking for a Program Manager, who will serve as the face of the organization to customers. The mission of the Program Manager is to champion planning, coordination, and communication responsibilities for overall cost, schedule, performance, and quality as directed by the Value Stream Leader. You will be the focal point for the military-centric customer or commercial customer, responsible for ensuring the team’s objectives are achieved while coordinating a multi-disciplinary team across multiple parts of the organization. You will oversee and report overall operational performance and success. The candidate will support multiple Lunar, Cislunar and orbital space missions.This position requires working onsite at our Carlsbad, CA facility.THIS POSITION REQUIRES U.S. CITIZENSHIPEssential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):Management for the full lifecycle of assigned product from inception through completion, inclusive of pursuit/order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and input into long-term strategic business plans.Maintain project schedules, risk analysis, procurement plans, subcontract management plans, project staffing plans, and budgets (direct costs, subcontracts, travel, etc.)Participate in customer meetings to define and refine requirementsReport program updates regularly to executive team and our customersTrack all internal and external deliverables, prepare and present formal and informal design and progress reviewsGenerate proposals/scope of work based on customer requirementsWork closely with members of their own program team, technical peer teams, and program controllers to ensure our systems meet all requirements and achieve all milestones, while staying within strict budgetary constraintsDefines and monitors key performance metricsPlans, directs, and monitors program budgetOversees and manages deliverables, risk/opportunity/issues, configuration, and change managementCustomers range from us military, NASA, commercial and internationalOther duties may be assigned based on business needsRequirementsMust be a U.S. CitizenBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences5+ years' experience as a project lead or project manager with a demonstrated reputation for delivering unique, high-complexity systemsProven ability to deliver on-time and on-budgetExperience with rapid development projectsAbility to define and utilize metrics, develop program schedules, and control budgets to manage program activitiesDemonstrated teamwork and written/oral communications skillsAbility to communicate across organizational boundaries and levelsDemonstrated employee management experience and proficiency in task managementAbility to help organize and manage a team of personnel, develop program schedules, and control budgets to meet required deadlinesStrong Experience utilizing Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ProjectP&L (Profit & Loss) experience, preferredExperience working in a Manufacturing environment, preferredUnderstanding of satellites, space sensors and ground systems used for space assetsAerospace Industry experienceMeticulous attention to detailSalary Range77,000 - 150,000Compensation depends on experience levelBenefitsCompetitive medical and dental benefits, including 100% company paid medical plan for employees401(k) plan that includes employer matchingLife insurance, Shor-term disability insurance, and Vision and Dental plansTo apply please email a resume and cover letter to jobs@vulcanwireless.com with the position title in the subject line.
