Infrastructure Lead

Overview The IT Lead will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud-based, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of all systems. Additionally, this role will oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to IT, as well as provide day-to-day helpdesk support for technical issues across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and exceptional problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Manage, monitor, and maintain on-premise and cloud IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, etc.). Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and perform optimally. Implement and manage cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure Cloud) and ensure integration with existing on-premise systems. Maintain IT hardware and software, ensuring they are updated and functioning efficiently. Perform regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity and system resilience. Collaborate with HR to facilitate smooth IT onboarding/offboarding processes for new hires, transfers, and terminations. Provision and de-provision user accounts, software access, and hardware (laptops, mobile devices, etc.). Ensure appropriate access to IT systems is granted according to company policies and security standards Serve as the escalation point for the helpdesk team, handling complex technical issues. Track, monitor, and resolve helpdesk tickets, ensuring SLAs are met. Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution for end-user technical issues. Maintain documentation of common support issues and solutions to improve helpdesk efficiency. Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and data protection standards. Regularly update and manage security software and protocols (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, VPNs, and access controls). Work with the security team to mitigate risks, vulnerabilities, and potential threats to the infrastructure. Skills Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with both on-premise and cloud solutions. Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies. Experience with employee onboarding/offboarding processes, including user account provisioning and IT asset management. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with IT helpdesk support tools and systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow). Solid understanding of security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and data protection measures. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
