Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Job Responsibilities:Summary: The shipper/receiver position will receive and verify incoming goods against packing slips/purchase orders, prepare and ship finished product and prepare necessary documents for shipping product.Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required.Safely operate forklift and crane to load and unload trailers and to move material as neededSafely operate shag truck to stage trailers as applicableEnsure equipment is in safe, working order by completing daily inspection following checklist guidelinesImmediately report concerns with equipmentComplete minor maintenance on equipment as neededComplete documentation and perform cycle counts as necessary to support correct inventory levelsVerify product prior to shipment to ensure correct product and quantity is shippedFollow and support Magna Structures LMV and Magna's operating principlesSupport efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion SurveySupport plant safety initiatives and always works within safety guidelinesCustomer Management Systems & Customer Container Management Systems:Create all shipping documents for all outbound shipments including master packing slips and labelsScan product to customer packing slip and or label swap if requiredModify shipping containers on shipping documents for paymentReceive inbound materials, perform inspection and labelSend EDI transmissions of all shipmentsPull receiving advises to confirm acceptance without errorsEnter customer container bill of ladingsAccess customer software systems, contacting customer and carriers as needed to address concernsSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneEducation and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious tractor-trailer experience preferredMust be at least 21 years of ageKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to learn and use multiple customer computer systemsAbility to obtain forklift certification within first 30 daysAbility to obtain crane certification within first 30 daysAttention to detail a must to complete customer paperwork accuratelyAbility to multi-task continuously with shipping/receiving functionsNo internal driving suspensions within the last yearCommercial Driver's License (CDL) preferredPhysical Demands: As identified on the Shipper/Receiver functional job descriptionEnvironmental Conditions: Normal factory environment as well as external conditionsAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
