REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalSUPERVISES: NoneFLSA Status: Hourly Non-ExemptCOMPENSATION: B.S. $23.30/Hour; M.S. $29.12/HourWORK CALENDAR: 185 Days TemporarySTANDARD HOURS: 8 Hours/Day, 40 Hours/WeekCORP STATUS: ClassifiedPERF: CPCSC is a Non-PERF DistrictPOSITION PURPOSEThe Behavioral Health Clinician provides support to the CPCSC behavioral health program at Clark Pleasant Middle school in relation to programming, social emotional interventions, data collection, and professional development. Behavioral Health Clinicians work collaboratively with school staff to teach students with behavior difficulties and/or mental health concerns the social emotional skills needed to be successful in multiple environments. The Behavioral Health Clinician at CPMS will lead a behavioral health elective as well as run groups, and provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 behavioral health supports.Essential FunctionsProvides behavioral health skills curriculum to students in need of Tier 2 or Tier 3 services.Delivers evidence-based skill development for students that address the student's mental/behavioral health and family difficulties that impact school performance and social-emotional wellness and developmentManges a classroom environment where learning of SEL and behavioral health curriculum can be implementedProvides Tier 2 behavior support interventions including check-in/check-out and skill development groupsCoordinates and completes data collection; monitors regularly and revises plans and supports as neededServes as a resource to school staff and families; consults with outside agenciesSupports and communicates with parentsAttends student staffing and case conferences, as neededCollaborates with staff to implement social-emotional learning interventionsUnderstands the psychosocial development of children and the influences of family, community, and cultural differences and how it interacts with the educational processResponds to referrals from school administration, school counselors, teachers, Kids Team, special education committees, and othersProvides support in crisis and administers threat incident support, including assessing risk and developing safety plans with students, families and school administrationServes and is an active member of building-level student support teamsCollaborates with Adult and Child Behavioral Health School Social Therapist and Skills Specialists when neededAttends IEP and 504 meetings as requestedAssists with the coordination of re-entry plans for students who have been hospitalizedNetworks with school programs and community agencies to provide essential services for families and children.
