Psychiatric Technician (per diem)

Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider a per diem opportunity with Liberty Healthcare’s specialized forensic mental health program at the West Valley Detention Center.This unique program provides high quality psychiatric stabilization and competency restoration services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.As a Psychiatric Technician you will play an important role with Liberty’s treatment team.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeProviding in-person care to inmates within the jailAdministering medication, including injectablesHealth education and basic counselingDocumenting patient health status and treatment progressParticipating in clinical team meetingsCollaborating with psychiatrists, licensed clinicians, and security staffEnsuring clients receive high quality mental health servicesThis is a per-dem position in which you will work on an as-needed basis - weekdays and weekends - always on day shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.You can expect $28.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)In this role, you will help people take meaningful steps in their journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing.What We’re Looking ForCalifornia Licensed Psychiatric TechnicianExperience supporting people who have mental illnessCompassion, professionalism, and reliabilityAbout The Program And Liberty HealthcareThis program operates within the West Valley Detention Center - a San Bernardino County jail located at 9500 Etiwanda Ave. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739.Liberty Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
