Prioritizing leadership, accountability, and collaboration, we equip our teams to work at the highest levels possible.Job SummaryAcrisure is seeking a Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to manage litigated and non-litigated commercial auto claims, including Auto Physical Damage (APD), cargo, and liability exposures. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving claims while ensuring timely, compliant, and customer-focused outcomes.The Claims Examiner will manage a diverse national caseload involving commercial auto and trucking related exposures across multiple jurisdictions throughout the United States. This position is ideal for an experienced claims professional who thrives in a fast paced environment, is comfortable handling complex claims, and can independently manage files from assignment through resolution.ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of commercial auto claims, including APD, cargo, liability, litigated, and non-litigated exposuresInvestigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirementsReview coverage, assess liability, and determine appropriate claim resolution strategiesManage claims from initial assignment through final settlement and closureMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the claims management systemCommunicate professionally with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and internal stakeholdersCoordinate with defense counsel and assist with litigation management activities as neededEnsure compliance with applicable state regulations and company policiesSupport successful claim outcomes through effective negotiation and problem solvingMentor less experienced team members and assist with claims handling guidance when appropriateParticipate in mandatory onsite training at the Oak Ridge, Tennessee headquarters during onboardingPerform additional duties and projects as assignedRequirements5+ years of experience handling Heavy Commercial Auto or Bodily Injury claims requiredExperience handling APD and Cargo claims beneficialExposure to litigated claims requiredCarrier experience highly beneficial; TPA experience also acceptedStrong understanding of commercial auto and trucking insurance principlesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing responsibilitiesTyping speed of 65+ WPM requiredProficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software quicklyStrong work ethic and time management skillsAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and claimantsEducation and LicensesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredActive adjuster license requiredFlorida and/or Texas adjuster licenses required unless candidate holds an active California adjuster licenseMulti-jurisdictional licensing beneficialAdditional education or industry certifications beneficialCandidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.Why Join Us:At Acrisure, we’re building more than a business, we’re building a community where people can grow, thrive, and make an impact.
