Solutions Engineer

Job Title - Tech Solutions EngineerLocation - Chicago, ILFull-time positionWe are hiring for a Tech Solutions Engineer role supporting enterprise platform services and infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with Product Managers, Analysts, developers, and engineering teams to provide technical enablement, workflow automation, and platform support across modern cloud and DevOps technologies.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of contact for PMs and Analysts, providing hands-on support, training, and enablement for platform services and infrastructure.Guide developers and researchers on platform technologies and best practices, including AWS, Airflow, Coder, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, and related tools for build, deployment, monitoring, and operations.Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to automate data workflows, enhance knowledge-sharing resources, and promote data-driven best practices.Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify solutions, drive product improvements, and support global knowledge sharing.Deliver proactive incident management and high-quality service delivery, ensuring timely issue resolution and continuous process improvement.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).Strong experience with Linux operating systems and Python.Proven troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills (written and verbal).Understanding of cloud platforms, automation, and/or database technologies with the ability to learn across multiple technology areas.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in hedge funds, investment banking, commodities, or other financial services environments.Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, CTRM/ETRM platforms, and cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP.Scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
