With more than 13,000 employees around the world, we are committed to using our energy and heart to drive a better tomorrow.What you will doRole Overview:The Finance Associate supports senior team members in sourcing, structuring, and executing third-party financing transactions and contributes to the analytical and presentation materials required for EDPR NA's investment and financing decisions.Main responsibilities:Build, maintain and enhance financial models used for third-party financings (tax equity, project finance, DCF, etc.) and internal decision-making processesPerform valuation and analytical work to support structuring and execution of third-party financial transactions (including tax equity partnerships, tax credit transfers, project finance, or back-leverage financings) and other internal ad-hoc requestsAssist with due diligence processes by collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and with external consultants (appraisers, independent engineers, etc.)Support senior Finance team members with the preparation of deliverables to achieve funding milestonesPrepare materials required for asset marketing (project teasers, info-memos, factsheets) and for corporate decision-making committeesIdentify opportunities to streamline processes and improve standardization within the teamPerform additional duties as assignedEmployment typeFull-Time / HybridWork siteHouston, TXWhat are we looking forMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance or related field; MBA/Master of Finance preferred2+ years' work experience in energy or financeHands-on knowledge of valuation and financing modellingDirect work experience in the tax equity or project finance industry preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with complementary data tools a plusCompetency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferredTravel:Up to 10%Behavioral Requirements:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to be self-motivatedStrong Interpersonal and teamwork skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritizePhysical demands & working conditions:Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment.Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 poundsVision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessaryMore than academic knowledge and technical skills, we are looking for ambitious people who are enthusiastic about the future and who bring human skills aligned with our purpose.Equal opportunities for allOur vision is that each person combines their unique characteristics and experiences to fulfill our mission of creating new energy for the planet.
