You’ll serve as the primary operational leader during your assigned shift, coordinating resources, resolving constraints, and maintaining strong communication across teams.In This Role, You WillEnsure machines are running, properly staffed, and production is progressing according to scheduleCoordinate daily job priorities with scheduling and adjust workflow as neededIdentify and remove production bottlenecks to maintain continuous flowBalance workload across machines, work centers, and shiftsMonitor production progress and adjust staffing or priorities to meet delivery targetsSupervise machinists and shift leads, providing coaching and daily leadership supportManage attendance, performance expectations, and workforce accountabilitySupport employee development, training progression, and skill advancementEnsure effective communication and shift handoffs between teamsCommunicate production risks, delays, and resource constraints to leadershipEnforce safety standards, PPE requirements, and shop proceduresEnsure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and process controlsCoordinate with maintenance, programming, production control, and support teamsEscalate issues related to equipment, staffing, materials, or delivery timelinesSupport recovery planning when production schedules are disruptedRequirements: What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a strong production leader with experience in machine shop environments who can drive accountability, support team development, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Minimum three (3) years of progressive manufacturing leadership or supervisory experienceExperience in machine shop, CNC, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environmentsStrong leadership and supervisory skills in a production environmentAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple production demandsStrong communication and coordination skills across teams and shiftsExperience with workforce coaching, accountability, and performance managementStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience leading hourly production teams in a machine shop environmentExperience with production scheduling, workflow balancing, and continuous improvementKnowledge of safety regulations and quality compliance standardsExperience working cross-functionally with maintenance, programming, and production planning teamsYour Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, exempt position.
