Production Maintenance Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Maintenance Supervisor / Reliability SpecialistLocation: Louisville, KyJob Type: On-site (100%)Reports to: Facility ManagerDepartment: North American OperationsPosition Purpose: This position will provide ongoing analytical support to the maintenance team that creates visibility of the overall equipment reliability strategy and drives assets to best-in-class standards. The role will help create the link that supports continuous knowledge transfer between maintenance and production units to minimize the potential of repeat and/or similar issues occurring, while increasing the discipline to use best practices. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in multi craft fields and several years of experience with Mechatronics or Industrial Maintenance Degree.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.Works safely at all times.Arrive on the job, ready to work every day according to the work plan and schedule.Additional technical responsibilities as assigned.Apply Asset Management processes and best practices to ensure reliability and maintainability of plant equipment.Works with on-site leadership team to define, develop, and monitor:Value-added preventive maintenance tasks and PM optimization.Precision preventive maintenance standard work plans.Effective utilization of condition-based methodologies to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems and interpret predictive data.E.g. Infrared Thermography, Tribology, Vibration analysis, Ultrasonic, and Motor Circuit Analysis.Proper operation and care of equipment -- Total Productive Maintenance.Comprehensive lubrication program.Inspections, adjustments, replacements, overhauls of selected equipment.Technical specification and standardization of maintenance tasks.Develop maintenance strategies for new equipment.Help develop solutions to repetitive failures utilizing Root Cause Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and other Reliability modeling and prediction -- implement permanent countermeasures.Coordinates with maintenance planning/scheduling to ensure maintenance tasks are performed when due.Works with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production to perform analyses of assets including:Equipment Operational Availability.Overall Equipment Effectiveness.Mean Time Between Failures.Mean Time to Repair.Provides technical support and maintenance team supervision for maintenance and production.Ensures accurate data and associated comments are entered into equipment availability and maintenance management systems.Assists Maintenance and Engineering with spares management plan and critical spares analysis.Assists Maintenance and Engineering with long-range maintenance planning and major spending.Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager. Competencies: Managing TasksProvide leadership and guidance of maintenance teamOpen CommunicationSelf-ManagementMotivating & Developing PeopleKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.Language Ability – Talking to others to convey information effectively.Demonstrates advanced knowledge in all aspects of maintenance skill sets and technologies.Problem Solving - Defining problems and bring about viable solutions.Arrive on the job, ready to work every day according to the work plan and schedule.Perform quick analysis and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.Work from mechanical and / or electrical schematic, sketches, manuals, specifications, written or oral instructions.Capability to assist in the training of others on necessary skills to perform repairs.Develop ability to operate equipment in "Teach" mode from the HMI or Teach Pendant without assistance.Technically skilled to facilitate the recovery of at least 75% of equipment from a technical fault without assistance.Technical ability to demonstrate sound methodology in the execution of the mechanical and electrical repairs of equipment and in providing long term resolution to equipment failures.Understanding of programming and commissioning equipment (Robots, PLC, AC/DC Drives, Safety Scanners, Buss Networks, etc.Prepare and set up equipment for production after repair.Under minimal directions, work directly from a work order.Perform scheduled PM's as assigned.High level of Experience in the following:Mechanical theory.Electrical theory.AC/DC motor controls.PLC control logic.Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.Position Qualifications:Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.Associates degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance Technologies, Industrial Electronics Technologies or 5+ years of work experience relative to the Essential Roles and Responsibilities, above, accepted.Mechanical and electrical theory required.CMMS maintenance system experience required.AC/DC motor controls and PLC control logic preferred.Background knowledge within Reliability Centered Maintenance principlesPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
