Hi,Greetings from Skysoft!!Please find the requirement below and let me know if you are interested and available.Job Title: Senior DB2 LUW Database AdministratorLocation: REMOTEJob Description:Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior DB2 LUW Database Administrator to manage mission-critical DB2 databases supporting core banking applications. The role will also support containerized database deployments on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes within Truist's hybrid cloud environment.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on DB2 LUW administration experience combined with Linux, OpenShift/Kubernetes, database performance tuning, high availability, and production support experience.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain DB2 LUW database environments across Linux, UNIX, and Windows.Monitor database performance, tune SQL and DB2 system parameters, and perform capacity planning.Manage DB2 backup/recovery, HADR, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.Administer DB2 instances and databases deployed in Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes containers.Support database deployments and schema changes through CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab and Jenkins.Perform database security administration, including access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve complex production database incidents, including on-call and occasional weekend support.Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams on database design, data modeling, and stored procedures.Support migration of on-premises DB2 workloads to containerized/OpenShift platforms.Develop and maintain database documentation, configuration standards, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.Automate database administration and operational tasks using scripting.Required Skills & Experience8–10+ years of hands-on DB2 LUW Database Administration experience.Strong Linux administration skills; RHEL experience preferred.Strong experience with IBM DB2 LUW installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes for containerized database deployments.Strong SQL, stored procedures, relational database modeling, and performance-tuning knowledge.Hands-on experience with DB2 HADR and high-availability environments.Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, and database deployment automation.Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.Strong scripting experience using Shell, Python, or Perl.Experience supporting banking or financial services environments strongly preferred.Understanding of SOA/API architecture and testing tools such as SOAPUI and Postman is a plus.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and production-support skills.Preferred / Nice to HaveIBM DB2 certificationExperience with DB2 on Cloud Pak for DataExperience with IBM pureScaleExposure to MongoDB, Docker, or other database/container platformsExperience working in a large enterprise banking or financial services environmentMust-Have RequirementsDB2 LUW DBA – MUST8–10+ years' experience – MUSTLinux/RHEL – MUSTDB2 HADR / High Availability – MUSTOpenShift/Kubernetes – MUSTSQL & Stored Procedures – MUSTProduction Support – MUSTBanking/Financial Services Experience – Strongly Preferred
