We are strategically headquartered in Silicon Valley, with team members and office locations established in Perth, Australia, Tokyo, Japan and New Delhi, India that you would collaborate with on a regular basis. SafeAI is seeking a highly capable front end application developer to develop tools for mapping, visualization, data processing, and analytics to enable the development and evaluation of our autonomous vehicle software stack. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of software development, from design and analysis to development, implementation and maintenance Develop new product features, improves existing product features, while adding performance and software quality metrics to our codebase Work closely with other engineering teams, quality assurance, management Collaborate with peers on technical design, work estimation and implementation of new UI features including visualization aspects and server interfaces/contracts Continually improving software development processes and practices Create and maintain visualization tools for large, diverse data sets acquired from autonomous vehicle execution to support debugging and analysis Investigate visualization technologies and libraries to support org-wide GUI implementations. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of frontend development experience Proven expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and SASS/SCSS in large scale SaaS applications Proven expertise in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS and NodeJS Experience with Python programming language and Python GUI libraries such as Tkinter, wxWidgets, Qt, Gtk+, FLTK, OpenGL, … Experience with dense point cloud data, especially the PCL library Strong communication skills to work with other developers in order to integrate visualization tools with other components Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of front end development experience B.S. in computer engineering, web development, computer science or equivalent experience Experience with REST API design and implementation Experience with GeoJSON, OSM, PLY, MeshLab Experience with large scale data visualization Knowledge of geographic projections such as web-mercator image tiles, WGS84, S2 geometry The base salary range for this position is $130K - $180K per year. SafeAI’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
