Adecco is partnering with a growing food production company to hire an experienced Industrial Cookin the Portland, ME area. This role is essential to the manufacturing process, responsible for preparing large-scale batches of food products while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and mix large-volume food batches according to standardized formulas and production schedules Follow all food safety requirements, including GMP, HACCP, and internal quality standards Accurately measure ingredients and execute batch recipes with consistency and precision Monitor product quality and identify any inconsistencies in raw materials or finished goods Coordinate workflow between cooking and packaging teams to maintain efficiency and product integrity Operate, assemble, and clean processing equipment including pumps and related components Perform routine checks such as temperature verification, pH testing, and calibration of equipment Maintain detailed and accurate production records Communicate effectively with team members and assist in training when needed Support production goals by working efficiently and minimizing waste Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial cooking preferred Ability to perform basic math, including unit conversions (metric and standard) Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented mindset Effective communication skills (reading and writing) Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and move for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift) Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.Regular bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, and pulling Work EnvironmentFood manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, humidity, and wet conditions Moderate to high noise levels Why Apply?Stable, full-time opportunity in a growing industry Team-focused environment Opportunity to build hands-on manufacturing and food production experienceApply today and a team member will reach out as soon as possible!Pay Details: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
