This role is ideal for a reliable care professional with newborn and postpartum care experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to support both the parent and baby with patience, care, and professionalism.The family maintains a kosher household, so kosher household knowledge and experience are preferred. Candidates who are respectful, detail oriented, and willing to learn proper kosher household practices are also welcome to apply.Role OverviewThe postpartum caregiver will provide live out support for the parent and newborn. This role includes newborn care, parent support, light household help, approved errands, and support that helps the parent rest, heal, and feel cared for during the postpartum period.This is a hands on role for someone who is nurturing, steady, respectful, and experienced in supporting families after birth.ResponsibilitiesSupport the parent with rest, healing, and daily comfortProvide light personal support for the parent, including laundry, meal prep, and basic tidyingAssist with nutritional support for the parentSupport feeding coordination for the newbornHelp with newborn sleep support and daily routinesProvide calm, attentive newborn careAssist with family housekeeping connected to the parent, baby, and household flowRun approved errands as neededRespect and follow kosher household practicesCommunicate clearly with the family and Gabi Childcare teamMaintain a warm, calm, clean, and professional care environmentFollow family instructions, safety expectations, and care preferencesQualificationsMust have newborn and postpartum care experienceMust have kosher household knowledge and experienceMust be reliable, professional, and punctualMust have strong communication skillsMust be warm, calm, nurturing, and respectfulMust be comfortable supporting both parent and baby needsMust be able to assist with light household tasks and approved errandsMust be able to work in a live out part time role in BrooklynMust be able to follow household routines, family preferences, and care instructionsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate has professional postpartum or newborn care experience and understands how to support a recovering parent with care, privacy, and compassion.
