Automotive Tire and Lube Technician

Job Description Benefits/PerksCareers Advancement Opportunities Flexible SchedulingCompetitive Compensation that includes hourly pay and bonus/commissionJob Summary:The Tire and Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and light mechanical services on vehicles, including oil changes, tire services, and inspections. This role ensures customer vehicles are serviced efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard of quality service in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities:Perform oil changes, tire rotations, flat repairs, and other routine maintenance.Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and communicate findings to the service advisor or supervisor.Mount, balance, rotate, install, and repair tires on various vehicles using approved equipment.Check and refill vehicle fluids, including coolant, transmission, brake, and windshield washer.Assist with wheel alignments (if certified or under supervision).Use proper tools and equipment for all maintenance and repair tasks.Maintain accurate inventory of tires and shop supplies; properly dispose of old tires and hazardous materials.Keep detailed service records and ensure compliance with company, safety, and OSHA standards.Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe service area.Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.Complete service tickets and inspection checklists accurately and on time.Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Qualifications: MUST HAVE: min 1 year automotive school training or previous experience in automotive maintenance.Basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workReliable, punctual, and customer-focusedHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)ASE or TIA certification is a plusWork Environment & Schedule:Fast-paced, automotive service shopMay require weekends or extended hoursExposure to outdoor elements, noise, and mechanical hazardsOpportunities for Growth:Certification in TIA, ASE, or alignment servicesAdvancement to Lead Tech or Service Manager rolesOngoing technical training provided
