Development Lead Engineer - Power Distribution & Reclosing
As a Development Lead Engineer a typical day might include:* Leading and actively participating in product design, development, introduction, and/or supporting activities crossing two or more technical disciplines.* Maintaining a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor and control the power system.* Conceiving and developing concepts for new product ideas and enhancements.* Lead efforts in providing power engineering support for customers & field application engineers.* Serving as technical lead on complex projects.* Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.* Embracing the mindset: Understand. Simplify.* Other duties as assigned.This job might be for you if you have:* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.* 8+ years of experience in electric power systems, protection practices and philosophies.* Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills.* Experience in leading cross-functional product development teams.* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.You may be a stronger fit for this position if you:* Have working knowledge of SEL products.* Experience in distribution and reclosing.Location Information:This position will be onsite at one of the following SEL locations:* Butte, MT* Pullman, WACompetitive pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job and responsibility.
