Project Coordinator - Certified Payroll Specialist

SEMA Construction, Inc. has an opening for a Project Coordinator with experience in Certified Payroll. The Project Coordinator will be based in our Centennial, Colorado office and will support the project management efforts throughout the various stages of project implementation plans. Duties/Responsibilities: Experience with Excel Keeping records of documents our subcontractors send to us (physical and digital) Weekly email/meeting updates to our SEMA team Data entry, exporting payroll reports Understanding government documents (garnishments) Working with subcontractors, answering questions, walking them through the payroll process Fringe Benefit knowledge Certified payroll requirements (i.e., enter weekly payrolls, certify weekly payroll, approve subcontractor payrolls) through the LCPtracker system Correct CPR discrepancies Handle phone calls from subcontracts or owners in a timely manner Prepare, request and/or execute any miscellaneous paperwork required by the contract Manage and coordinate with our “offshore” support administrators Cross training in other Project Coordination duties: Act as the point of contact/liaison for field team, subcontractors/suppliers, owner’s consultant Monitor project progress Manage project related documentation (i.e., subcontract agreements, owner contracts, pay applications) by properly filing and storing in Vista Process subcontractor’s pay applications and lien waivers on a weekly/monthly basis for various states including CO, CA, and TX Monthly compliance audit reporting (i.e., B2G, DMS, DBE, trucking) Monitor and track OJT participation & goals Manage subletting and supplier compliance requirements (i.e., CDOT form 205, 1425) Prepare closeout paperwork and lien releases for subcontractors Prepare joint check agreements and lien releases File for project tax exemptions Recording calls from the public information line and answering questions accordingly Verify insurance certificates for compliance and log them accordingly in Vista Monitor prompt payment compliance requirements Job Requirements: An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree 2 years minimum in project coordination Strong communication skills both verbal and written Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with DOT databases/software systems Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management Highly productive and willing to manage a busy work schedule independently Background knowledge in the legal field, paralegal experience preferred SEMA offers top wages and benefits to all employees.
