SummaryThis position is responsible for operating company approved vehicles for the transportation of raw material and finished goods to and from multiple company and vendor locations in the local area.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role does not have supervisory responsibilities.Essential Duties & Key ResponsibilitiesOperates company approved vehicles and is responsible for the prompt and compliant delivery of materials to and from company and vendor locations in the area Reads bill of lading and adheres to other company instructions relating to delivery of materialsSafely operates hand lift as needed to load vehicles Adheres to all city and state highway regulations pertaining to truck and load limits, safety regulations and set speed limitsResponsible for loading vehicle and maintaining gas, oil, water and other normal care of equipment as requiredAssist Maintenance Tech in facility and machining maintenance as needed Maintains driving record in good standing in accordance with company policyMaintains safe working conditions and follows established operator safety procedures Skills & CompetenciesMust have strong attention to detailSkilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that ariseIndependent self-starter able to perform without direct and explicit instructionShould have a positive and professional attitudeAvailable to work weekends and overtimeRequiredEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum one(1) year of commercial driving experienceValid drivers licensePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
