If you thrive in a dynamic, growth-minded environment where your contribution directly matters and you'll work alongside skilled professionals focused on achieving business-driven legal solutions, Mayer is where you can make an impact.Responsibilities Support 2 partners and 3 attorneys with Paralegal needs for commercial litigation docket with matters such as: contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, trade secrets, etc.Assist with arbitration proceedings and evidentiary preparationSupport attorneys with temporary restraining orders (TROs), temporary injunction hearings, and expedited litigation mattersAssist in drafting responses to Demands for Arbitration and DiscoveryPrepare materials and documents for hearingsAssist with management of a diverse caseload, including large complex matters and smaller day-to-day disputesDraft and prepare discovery requests and responses, including requests for production, interrogatories, subpoenas, and motions to compelReview, organize, summarize, and circulate discovery materials to attorneys and litigation teamsManage document collections and document organization for complex matters involving multiple business entities and high-volume recordsTrack litigation deadlines, disclosure requirements, court filings, and calendaring obligations to ensure matters progress efficientlyCoordinate filings in state and federal courtsAssist with arbitration proceedings and evidentiary preparationSupport attorneys with temporary restraining orders (TROs), temporary injunction hearings, and expedited litigation mattersPrepare materials for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trialsAssist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination, trial binders, and courtroom logisticsCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, vendors, and court personnel as neededProactively identify case needs, follow up on outstanding items, and help keep matters moving forwardExperience High School or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferredMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal requiredExperience in both state and federal court litigationStrong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, and case managementExperience supporting trial preparation preferredFamiliarity with TROs, injunctions, or expedited proceedingsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage competing deadlines and shifting prioritiesHave a masterful understanding of the litigation flow, as well as demonstrate the appropriate urgency and initiative in performing tasks that advance the cases toward resolutionComfortable billing 140 hours/monthOvertime may be required as needed, though not frequentlyBenefitsFull suite of health/dental/vision benefits that go into effect the 1st of the month after an employee starts with the firm10 company holidays + 4 early release days16 PTO daysHybrid schedule (3 days/week in office, 2 days/week at home)401k + firm match based on previous year revenue.
