The main responsibility of the Warehouse Administrative Assistant is to act as a liaison between the vendors and the Warehouse. In addition, the Warehouse Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for daily administrative tasks including, but not limited to, answering phone calls, responding to emails and organizing paperwork.Attributes of a Sendik's AssociateCustomer-Minded; serve customers with a positive and sincere attitude, utilize the 10/4 rule and always thank customers for their businessPersonnel-Minded; motivated to work within a team and to learn, grow, and share knowledge with othersProduct-Minded; inspired to learn about our products, standards and upholding the quality of the products to best serve our customersDetail-Minded; work efficiently, focused and maintain attention to detailConsistent-Minded; understand the importance of accountability and integrity to the team, customers and the companyOpen Minded; embrace, understand and be open to change, as well as, initiate and implement change to make an impact at Sendik'sWork ExperienceDuties/Responsibilities:Daily review of invoices; compare invoices to the purchase orders and report any discrepanciesRecord Order Picker information, including, but not limited to, time-sheets and pick ratesMaintain consistent communication with stores and vendors to confirm accurate orders and make changes if neededDouble-check accuracy of orders; investigate any discrepanciesCommunicate with vendors to confirm daily dock appointmentsOversee the dock schedule for receivingAssist with creating purchase and store orders as neededAssist with ordering office supplies for the WarehouseProvide general assistance to Warehouse associates as neededAssist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the WarehouseMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proceduresAssist with all other duties as neededQualifications:Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Warehouse equipmentPrior warehouse experience is preferredAbility to work in different temperature zones, including cold environments (i.e., coolers, freezers) Eagerness to interact with customersStrong sense of team ability to anticipate the needs of the teamStrong knowledge of local and state health, sanitation and safety regulationsAbility to work at a fast paced and efficient mannerAbility to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstancesAbility to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressureAbility to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervisionExcellent time management, prioritization and organization skillsExcellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsStrong computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft Office product suite and Google Products Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds
