Job Description Job Title: School Security Officer (Middle & High School Campuses)Schedule: Monday – Friday (Follows School Calendar)Pay Rate: $19.50 – $20.00 per hourBenefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life InsurancePosition Overview:Code 4 Private Security is seeking dedicated and professional School Security Officers for middle and high school locations. Our officers play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.This is an excellent opportunity for security professionals who are passionate about working with youth and contributing to a safe educational community.Job Duties:Monitor and patrol school grounds to ensure safety and securityProvide crossing guard services as assigned to ensure safe student pedestrian trafficMaintain a visible security presence and proactively deter incidentsRespond to emergencies and assist school staff as neededEnforce school rules and Code of ConductWrite clear and detailed daily activity and incident reportsPerform bag checks or screening procedures when requiredEngage with students, staff, and visitors in a professional and respectful mannerObserve and report any safety hazards, suspicious activity, or policy violationsAssist with controlling access to campus and monitoring visitor check-insSome sites may require armed security services (must be properly certified)Requirements:Valid California Guard Card Certificates required to keep Guard Card in compliance (e.g., BSIS training certificates) Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Ability to pass a criminal background check TB test clearance Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic, responsibility, and punctuality Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods Flexibility to work at various school sites as assignedSB1626 School Security Training (Can be provided if you do not possess one)Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working in a school security environmentExperience as a crossing guard, patrol officer, or armed guardBilingual skills a plusSchool-specific training will be provided.If you have a passion for safety, community engagement, and making a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you!
