Utilizes selling, pricing, engineering and management skills to support MTech Mechanical team in procuring work and designing jobs to satisfy the client’s needs and achieve a fair profit for the company.A successful candidate will be responsible for:Focus on developing general contractor and end user client baseProvides feedback to business unit team on current market conditions and trendsParticipates in assuring future sales projections are accurate and completed on scheduleDemonstrates understanding of other business unit processes and supports all processes to achieve business unit goalsSupports overall sales objectives by meeting assigned gross margin dollars and gross margin % objectivesMaintains awareness of company resources required to complete projectCreate new client relationships, and responsibilities for being the primary contact with the client for any project issues unresolved by other team membersMaintain client relationships with accounts assignedProvide technical design expertise for both conceptual/budget estimates and completed working documentsProperly price products to meet the objectives of selling a job and ensuring fair profit for MTech MechanicalManage the preconstruction process from initial lead generation until turnover to construction operationsPrepare sales proposals and perform presentations for potential clients and prospectsManage estimating team to produce complete and accurate estimatesMaintain continual contact with the projects participated throughout development and construction, including review of job costs and personal communication with the Project Engineer, Project Managers and OwnerEffectively participate on MTech Mechanical team to satisfy the client’s needsCommunicate effectively with internal and external clientsMaintain/obtain knowledge of current mechanical systems; including on-going continuing education via ASHRAE, DBIA, ACCA, etc.Understand and establish positive and functional job relationshipsMeet with clients to gather information and coordinate plansObtain information and pricing details from vendorsCoordinate with other MTech Mechanical employees as required in the resolution of project related problems and issuesWork as a team member with project engineers to conceptualize designsSupport the total quality and team based efforts. Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external clients 100% of the timeWork within the guidelines of the safety and employee policyMentor/train Junior Sales Engineer in sales approaches, system concepts, client relations, and corporate philosophyRegular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this positionOther duties as assignedQualified candidates will possess the following education and experience:5 -15 years working with HVAC systems and industrial systemsBS in Mechanical Engineering or Architecture EngineeringMust be approved to drive per MTech’s driving standardsVery strong understanding of mechanical equipment/systems applicationsAbility to discuss highly technical aspects of HVAC systems to internal partners and clientsMust be approved to drive per MTech’s insurance carrierWorking knowledge of architectural, electrical, structural and fire protection drawings requiredExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication both written and verbalAbout MTech:MTech Mechanical is a full-service mechanical contractor delivering HVAC, plumbing, fabrication, and design-build solutions for complex commercial and industrial projects.
