Title: C# OMS/Trading Systems Developer Location: NYCClient: Hedge FundI’m advising a Hedge Fund seeking a C# OMS Developer to join a fast-paced hedge fund technology team focused on building and enhancing mission-critical trading systems. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, quants, and operations teams to develop and support Order Management System (OMS) functionality across multiple asset classes.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance OMS applications using C# and .NETBuild and enhance trading workflows including order routing, execution management, allocations, compliance checks, and post-trade processingIntegrate with brokers, exchanges, market data vendors, EMS platforms, and internal systems using FIX and proprietary APIsCollaborate directly with front-office users to gather requirements and deliver trading technology solutionsOptimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for low-latency trading environmentsTroubleshoot production issues and provide rapid support for trading-related incidentsParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term platform strategyWork with databases and messaging technologies to support real-time and historical trading dataEnsure adherence to risk controls, regulatory requirements, and operational best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field5+ years of professional software development experience with C#/.NETStrong experience developing or supporting OMS/EMS platforms within hedge funds, asset managers, or investment banksDeep understanding of electronic trading workflows and the trade lifecycleExperience with FIX protocol and broker/exchange connectivityStrong knowledge of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and distributed systemsExperience with SQL Server or other relational databasesStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work directly with front-office stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience with equities, futures, options, FX, or fixed income trading systemsKnowledge of market microstructure and algorithmic trading conceptsExperience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SolaceFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps toolingExperience with Python scripting or quantitative librariesExposure to real-time risk systems and portfolio management platforms
