Position Title: Design Engineer Duration: 12 months Contract (Possible Extension)Location: Newak, CA.Shift: 40 hrs a week - StandardJob Description:A Design Engineer is responsible for researching, developing, and supporting the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. The role requires strong technical expertise in engineering design, along with the ability to interpret and create detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, design, develop, manufacture, and test mechanical devices such as tools, engines, and machinesAnalyze design proposals, specifications, and manuals to evaluate feasibility in terms of cost, time, and technical requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design efficiency, manufacturability, and product qualitySupport drafters in developing structural designs using appropriate CAD tools and engineering softwarePrepare and review engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentationEnsure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong creativity and innovative problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesStrong analytical and critical thinking mindsetHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentProficiency in engineering drawings, sketching, and technical calculationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical reportsHands-on experience with CAD tools and engineering design software Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)5-7 years of relevant experience in design engineering
