Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Dev/Research Engineer 3. The work will be performed 100% onsite in Mossville, Illinois. This is a long-term, 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $55/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401(k), and holiday pay).Job SummaryCullerton Group is seeking an experienced Dev/Research Engineer to support the integration of autonomous software and hardware systems with base machine platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop system requirements, support software integration, participate in testing and validation activities, and help deliver next-generation autonomous machine solutions. This position offers exposure to advanced robotics, software development, and systems engineering in a collaborative global environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with systems integration engineers to ensure software and hardware architecture requirements are successfully implemented.Develop, decompose, and manage system requirements while supporting software and hardware integration activities.Coordinate with technical program managers and engineering teams to deliver software releases on schedule.Support system verification and validation through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), proving ground testing, troubleshooting, and field data collection activities.Document architecture specifications, software design documentation, verification plans, test procedures, operating procedures, and safety documentation.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related accredited technical discipline.5–7 years of engineering experience (internships do not qualify toward the experience requirement).Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software testing methodologies, and application development tools.Experience with software integration, validation, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.Strong programming knowledge and experience supporting software development projects.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Must be able to work onsite in Mossville, IL.Ability to travel up to 25% to support testing activities at various U.S. locations.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting autonomous systems, robotics, or advanced machine control applications.Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, proving ground testing, or field validation.Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications and system integration.Previous experience working on complex engineering programs involving cross-functional global teams.Why This Role?This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge autonomous machine technology while working alongside experienced engineering teams.
