Lead Campus OperatorIn addition to being the central answering point for incoming calls to the University, the Lead Operator serves in the critical role as the first point of contact among the operators and receptionists in handling difficult or sensitive calls that require escalation beyond routine operations. Requires dependability, punctuality and must be fully reliable as campus operators must respond to questions/conflicts that may arise from callers in a timely fashion. Coordinate schedules to ensure seamless, uninterrupted phone coverage 8:00am 5:00pm Monday Friday including lunch and break periods. Responsible for processing parking permits, maintaining and scheduling appointments, and other duties as assigned. The Campus Operator is knowledgeable of the campus community, programs and services, and other campus-related events.Campus Operator is responsible for receiving packages, sorting and distributing mail, processing parking permits. Maintains calendar and scheduling appointments, reporting building issues Assists with campus operator training and prepares monthly team schedule based on supervisor's direction General office support duties will be assigned as needed.High School Diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Demonstrated telephone techniques such as ability to initiate conference phone calls and forward calls as appropriate. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Experience working on a campus of higher-education is preferred. Ability to train new co-workers.
