This isnt a sit-around-and-watch kind of job. Youll be in the middle of the action, helping prep, move, and finish steel parts that power utility and telecom projects across the country. Prep materials for coatings, apply coatings daily, and assist with spraying applicationsOperate power tools, plasma cutters, and cutting equipmentLoad and unload flatbed trucks using forklifts and by handMove, organize, and handle steel parts throughout the shopPerform basic machine maintenance and support production staffKeep the shop clean, organized, and free of safety hazardsFollow safety protocols and use PPE as requiredReport equipment issues or safety concerns immediatelyWork closely with welders, fabricators, and shift leads to keep production movingHiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.We are looking for an Industrial Painter to join our team. We are also open to hiring an entry-level Coatings Specialist who wants to learn the trade.At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience working with hand tools, power tools, or heavy materialsAble to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs regularlyComfortable working in outdoor and shop environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesBasic knowledge of shop safety and use of protective equipmentForklift or pallet jack experience is a plusWestern Utility Telecom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
